Adjustable Shower Door Installation

Doors That Fit Your Shower and Your Daily Routine

Shower doors complete the look of a bathroom, but their job is practical: a comfortable entrance and easy opening and closing. Good-looking hardware is a pleasure to see; a well-chosen design is a pleasure every time you use the shower.

Dream Tile Installation installs ready-made adjustable doors for showers and bathtubs. We help check that the selected model suits your space and carry out the installation.

Sliding or Hinged?

Start with how the doors will work in your bathroom.

  • Sliding doors move along the enclosure and do not need space to swing open.
  • Hinged doors need enough clear space to open and provide a comfortable entrance.

There are framed and frameless models. The choice depends on the dimensions, construction and look you want. The important thing is that the doors open comfortably without meeting the vanity every morning.

Adjustment Has Its Limits

Each model is designed for a particular size range. Some systems also allow manufacturer-specified adjustments for walls that are not perfectly plumb. These are the details to compare with your opening.

Usually, doors are selected for a completed shower. You can also plan the other way around: choose a model early and account for its requirements when building the shower and curb. The finish thickness needs to be allowed for, and final measurements checked once the surfaces are complete.

That keeps the chosen model part of the plan, rather than a surprise in a large box.

Experience Matters After the Instructions Are Opened, Too

The instructions for the particular model and practical experience work together. The fixings need to be laid out correctly, the supporting base considered, and the parts installed and adjusted so the doors operate as intended.

Installation often involves drilling through finished tile. Porcelain and some hard stones can take more time than ceramic or softer stone. Suitable tools, accuracy and patience matter here; extra holes probably are not part of your design.

We pay attention to fixing locations, component alignment and sealing in accordance with the system requirements.

Bring the Hardware into the Bathroom Design

The finish of the frame, tracks, hinges and handles can complement details you have already chosen: metal tile trims, the showerhead, faucets and controls.

It can also coordinate with the vanity faucet, lighting and cabinet handles. That helps the doors look like a continuation of the overall design, rather than a separate purchase still trying to get acquainted with the room.
