Not a Material to Rush
Glass tile comes in mosaics, subway shapes and larger formats. It also brings a few challenges that deserve attention:
- Cutting and edge finishing require care to limit chipping, cracking and breakage.
- Some back-coated products need particular attention to avoid damage to their colored backing.
- Clear and translucent glass can reveal mortar ridges, voids or other imperfections behind the tile.
A neat cut is more than a finishing touch. It affects how the installed surface looks, especially where edges meet trims or other details. This is work where experience and patience earn their place—glass is not especially impressed by a hurry.
