Grout Brings the Tiles Together
Grout fills the joints between tiles and influences the look of the whole finish. A color close to the tile makes the lines quieter, while a contrasting color brings out the shape and layout. Sometimes the difference between barely noticing the joints and noticing a beautiful pattern comes down to the color.
Before the work, we consider:
- The tile material and surface.
- The joint width.
- The grout color and conditions of use.
There are cement-based, epoxy and other types of grout. We select the product for the tile, surface and conditions. Modern quality products offer good strength, stain resistance and a wide color choice. Some do not require a separate protective sealer; that depends on the particular product.
We recommend materials with these properties in mind. They may cost a little more, but you are choosing both the shade you want and performance suited to everyday use.
Careful filling and cleaning according to the product requirements matter too. The tile should keep its pattern, not a reminder of leftover grout.
